My Home Tour

I thought that I would start out our "Real Home Tours" series with a tour of my home. I know a couple of you have seen some of the rooms because hopefully I have persuaded a few of my blog readers to hop on the new party train over here. We bought the house a couple of years ago in Omaha, NE and put a great deal of time and effort into revamping our beloved 1910 house. It has 3 bedrooms and is about 2300 sq. ft (we got very lucky!). I have decorated everything myself and lucked into finding a great contractor (through my sister-in-law) to help with some of the big ticket remodeling projects. I recommend asking everyone you know if they have done any remodeling and if they liked their contractor. Getting a referral from someone you already know and trust is key before allowing a person in your home to start knocking down walls and ripping out countertops. Most of my items were either inherited, bought at thrift stores, reworked somehow, or bought pretty inexpensively from furniture wholesale warehouses or places like Target and Ikea. The number one skill I'm trying to master is mixing high and low design and making everything look like "me".  Now if you are so inclined, I would love to welcome you to my home.

The European Commission recently approved the resolution about granting the eco-labeling standard for wooden furniture –2009/894/EC [1]. The eco-label is an EU provision for Furniture a voluntary product labeling system, which focus on the environmental for Outdorr Furniture, and it’s use and application are expensive and application standard is strict.
